Today, we take a deep dive into the Plaza Premium Lounge at Brisbane Airport, a welcoming space that caters to a wide range of travellers, regardless of the airline or class you’re flying.

Lounge Location

Located in the International Terminal of Brisbane Airport, the Plaza Premium Lounge is easily accessible after the international security screening and passport control.

After navigating through the duty-free maze, make a sharp right towards the departure gates.

Adjacent to gate 81, you'll spot an escalator leading you to an upstairs precinct, which is also shared with the Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines lounges.

Lounge Opening Hours

The lounge operates on varying hours depending on the day of the week. Here is the schedule as of 28 August 2024 (new lounge):

  • Monday: 06:00 - 11:00; 18:00 - 23:00

  • Tuesday: 06:00 - 12:30; 18:00 - 23:00

  • Wednesday: 06:00 - 11:00; 18:00 - 23:00

  • Thursday: 06:00 - 12:30; 18:00 - 23:00

  • Friday: 06:00 - 12:30; 18:00 - 23:00

  • Saturday: 06:00 - 12:30; 18:00 - 23:00

  • Sunday: 06:00 - 12:30; 18:00 - 23:00

Lounge Layout and Seating

Upon entering the lounge, you're greeted with a modern and relaxed feel, with warm wooden tones, cool greens, dark stone floors, and contemporary carpet patterns.

The lounge layout includes a large bay of seats, individual pods perfect for solo travelers, and a long table suitable for larger groups.

High ceilings and a glass wall overlooking the terminal concourse and airfield ensure the lounge feels spacious and well-lit, while various seating options allow for a comfortable wait before your flight.

Lounge Food and Beverage

The Plaza Premium Lounge offers an array of food options to cater to diverse palates.

From lighter choices like quinoa and pasta salads to more filling dishes such as Margherita pizza, vegetarian quiche, and hot items like honey soy chicken wings, fusilli pasta Napoletana, and beef bourguignon.

Complimentary beer, cider, wine, spirits, and barista-made coffee are available for all guests.

Lounge Features

Aside from comfortable seating and delectable food and beverages, the lounge also offers Wi-Fi, charging stations, TV channels, international newspapers and magazines, flight information, and a telephone. There was a shower room for freshening up before your flight, however as of our last visit, this was no longer available for guest use.

How to Access the Plaza Premium Lounge

There are several options for gaining access to the Plaza Premium Lounge in Brisbane (BNE):

  • Day Pass: Purchase a lounge pass from LoungePair from AU$65.00 (US$43.00). Your pass can be used any time within its expiry, with no need to specify time or date of travel. This pass option is for a maximum 3 hour stay.

  • Lounge Membership: DragonPass, Lounge Key and Priority Pass members can access this lounge.

  • Credit Card: American Express Platinum and CapitalOne cardholders can access the lounge.

  • Airline Status: oneworld members with Sapphire or Emerald status can access this lounge when flying with Cathay Pacific. Star Alliance members with Gold status can access the lounge when flying with Eva Air. SkyTeam Elite members and their guests can access this lounge when flying with China Airlines or with Korean Air.

  • Travel Class: Business or First Class passengers with Cathay Pacific, Eva Air, China Airlines and Korean Air have access to the lounge.

  • Reward points: Members of Plaza Premium’s Smart Traveller loyalty program can use their points for a complimentary visit. One visit for one passenger currently costs 2,800 reward points when redeemed online.

There is no access charge for children under 2 years old.

Summing up
