Brisbane International Airport has recently welcomed a refreshed Plaza Premium Lounge, conveniently located airside near Gate 77.

For those in the know, Plaza Premium previously occupied a lounge on Level 4 opposite the Air New Zealand Lounge.

Their new lounge now occupies the former Aspire Lounge footprint on the main departures level, in a location favoured for its open layout and relaxed atmosphere.

Renovated to align with Plaza Premium’s signature style, the updated space offers enhanced seating, refined décor, and an improved selection of food and beverages. Travellers can now enjoy a brighter, more comfortable space with floor-to-ceiling windows, creating a fresh and welcoming environment for pre-flight relaxation.

Lounge Opening Hours

The Plaza Premium Lounge in Brisbane operates on varying hours depending on the day of the week. Here is the schedule as of January 2025:

  • Monday: 06:00 - 11:00, 17:30 - 00:00

  • Tuesday: 06:00 - 12:30, 17:30 - 00:00

  • Wednesday: 06:00 - 11:00; 17:30 - 00:00

The warm and inviting Plaza Premium Lounge is an ideal space to unwind away from the crowds. It has a contemporary, relaxed feel.

There are plenty of comfortable seats, many of which are positioned to provide you with views of the airfield through the floor-to-ceiling windows.

If you wish to escape, there is an exclusive VIP/Business area for added privacy. For those with children, there is a playroom equipped with activities to keep them occupied before your flight.

There are several options for gaining access to the Plaza Premium Lounge in Brisbane (BNE):

    • Access to this lounge is granted to passengers holding international First or Business Class tickets or those with SkyTeam Elite Plus status, but only when flying with China Airlines. This policy applies to same-day international flights operated by China Airlines, including connecting flights such as those between Auckland and Taipei.

    • Fiji Airways offer their Business Class and Tabua Club Members access for night flights when the Qantas Lounge is closed.

  • Walk-Up Fee: The Plaza Premium Lounge at Brisbane Airport offers walk-up access at a fee, which can be variable. You can simply approach the lounge and pay at the door without a prior reservation.

The Level 4 Plaza Premium Lounge at Brisbane Airport closed permanently on 31 May 2024. A new lounge opened on 1 July 2024 on Level 3, near Gate 77. This development comes after initial reports that Plaza Premium would exit Brisbane altogether.

Which airlines use Plaza Premium Lounge?

Plaza Premium Group partners with several airlines to provide access to their lounges. At the Brisbane Airport location, China Airlines offers access to eligible passengers, such as those flying in Business Class or holding SkyTeam Elite Plus status on same-day flights. Other airlines such as Fiji Airways also use the lounge for their Business Class and Tabua Club members on select night flights.
