Primeclass Lounge at Riga International Airport: Overview

If you’re travelling internationally out of Riga International Airport then it’s worth checking out the Primeclass Business Lounge. We found that this is one of the better lounges from Primeclass and certainly much more comfortable than the general terminal. With good Wi-Fi and plenty of power outlets it’s ideal for business, and the excellent food and beverage options make it a great place to unwind.

Video Review

Check out this video from AeroTravel which will give you a great overview of how to get to the lounge, a detailed look at the food and beverage options, as well as glimpse of the overall layout.

Lounge Location

Once you’ve passed through security in the Schengen section of the airport you’ll find access to the Primeclass Lounge on Concourse E near gate B1. There’s a dedicated lift and set of stairs which will take you up a single floor. It won’t take long to get here - less than 5 minutes from security.

Lounge Opening Hours

The Primeclass Lounge at Riga is open from 6:00am to 11:00pm daily.

Food and Beverage Options

The Primeclass Lounge offers an impressive make-your-own salad bar, plus a number of other options like cereal, fruit and a few snacks. Besides this, the lounge usually has a few hot options available too, such as potato wedges, vegetables and soup. There’s even a freezer full of ice-creams!

In terms of beverages the lounge offers all the usual options: bottled water, juice, soft drinks, an automatic coffee machine and a few other options. If you’re after something a little bit stronger, there’s a fully stocked self-serve bar located at the end of the lounge. It includes a selections of wines, a variety of spirits, and several beers on tap (yes that’s right, a self-serve beer tap!).

Lounge Layout and Seating

The Primeclass Lounge has a long thin layout which means there’s quite a distance from one end to the other. The upside of this is that there’s great views of the apron from almost anywhere in the lounge, as most of the seating is near the floor to ceiling windows. In terms of seating, the low lounges and chairs are coupled with tables in pairs. The seating itself is quite bunched together and tight which might be an issue if there’s quite a few people inside however most travellers report that the lounge is almost always very quiet.

Other Lounge Features

If you’re looking to stay longer, the Primeclass Lounge also offers private suites with beds for an additional charge, and there’s a conference room if you need to conduct some business.

The lounge also features showers which can be accessed free of charge.

Children under the age of 7 won’t cost you anything as long as they’re travelling with an adult – great news for those with a child in tow. In fact, there’s even a children’s playroom, perfect if you need a little peace and quiet.
